Eugene worked on a wide variety of projects and specialized in commercial interior architecture before working in Ireland for several years where he was responsible for many major projects including first level education, commercial and sports facility projects.  He was project architect and involved in the master planning on a major hotel, spa, golf course & residential development (www.brooklodge.com)
He returned to South Africa in 2003 to join CMAI where he is responsible for residential architecture and was project architect on a major up-market residential development around a restored existing structure on Thesen Islands.

Chris was the founder of CMAI in 1980 and has been Charmain and CEO of the firm since its inception.  Chris now leads the planning, design, coordination and implementation of large scale property development projects.  With a focus on the residential component, developments are balanced with associated farming, commercial and recreational nodes serving new communities.  Dr. Mulder has recently been the recipient of the prestigious Outstanding International Alumnus Award by the College of Architecture Texas A&M University.

Steff has been with CMAI since 1998, and mainly involved with Residential Architecture, Urban Design and Land Planning.  Steff now mainly focuses on the creation of integrated, sustainable urban and rural communities.
He has attended various workshops on the New Urbanist approach to Town- and Urban Planning focusing on the process of creating integrated, sustainable communities, as well as the Glenn Murcutt Masters class in  2004 (an intensive two-week design studio program held in Australia).

With more than 30 years of experience, supported by a highly specialised team of consultants, CMAI successfully applies its unique development, project planning and design co-ordination process. Through multi-faceted large scale projects in environmentally sensitive areas we create liveable and walkable communities where strangers become neighbours, and neighbours become friends.

“It is important for us as planners, designers, decision-makers and developers to blend our creative, technical and management skills with a professional ethic that shapes a sustainable future for both people and the environment: I guess it all boils down to how we, in Africa, can create opportunities for social upliftment and nurture economic growth without undermining the natural resource base and environmental integrity.” - Dr Chris Mulder
